This latest collection from Rise Against offers unique takes on some of the band’s most well-known/liked tracks, stripping down their songs with acoustic instruments and even various types of orchestration.
Fans of the band’s more recent material will recognize staple tracks such as “The Violence,” “Savior,” and “Audience of One.” But surprisingly, they actually reach even further back to their first two albums, incorporating such numbers as “Like the Angel,” “Faint Resemblance,” and “Voices off Camera” (one of my personal favorites off Revolutions Per Minute, which still stands out as their best work yet in my book). Don’t be one of those idiots who are “too cool” for these guys now that they’ve reached some mainstream success; Rise Against are still amazing at what they do, and to be closed off to that just because they’re no longer “underground” is just petty and ignorant.
